March 2025

April 2025:

Welcome Art Lovers! This year in 2025 I have taken quite a turn, having closed L'Atelier last December. Even though it was a wonderful and enriching experience for over 8 years, it was time for a change. I did my best to give a platform for many new artists to show and elevate their work but I also understood that L'Atelier was going to be a stepping stone for many (like a train station you pass through on your way somewhere else). It has humbled me to discover the gallerist's point of view, one that many artists may not know about. And just when we thought we had it all figured out - March 2020 happened. I think it would be fair to say the majority of us started questioning our life's purpose and redefining our goals. That same year I turned 50 and so a little extra inner searching was going on! What to do, where to live, where I am going, what do I want? As I get older my energy level is changing and I think it's time to share the knowledge and skills I have accumulated over the years. That said I also realize I was not working on my own work as much as I would like. The time has arrived for me to get back into expressing my own artistic vision.

I am extremely proud to be having my first solo exhibition at Lapis Room in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in March 2026, My theme I have decided will be about my journey in the United States, which started in October 2001. I'm looking to represent each year with 1-3 paintings, and I hope the work will resonate with viewers. My plan is to present the work as something of a visual diary, capturing my experiences and the adaptation to a new culture. I intend to use all of my art styles and techniques.

Ok wait, what did I just commit to? That's a lot of work...I better get on with it then! Next month I will talk about my first years in the states.

Meanwhile please check my new works in mixed media and plaster paintings or if you prefer funny art my prints.
